Blessing Bentley Review & Giveaway

Blessing Bentley is a 398 page book written by Chautona Havig. It is in the Christian Contemporary Romance genre and was released on June 8, 2019.

You need to get your party set up but can't stop reading

My Two Cents

You wake up early and can’t fall back asleep so you start reading. You have a party to put on and things to do but you can’t put the book down…but you have to. All day you think about that book. As soon as the people leave and things are cleaned up, you are back to reading. You finish the entire book. In. one. Day.

Can you relate?

That was what Blessing Bentley did to me yesterday.

This book made me laugh, made me cry, but most of all it made me think. Bentley studied her Bible. She found something that made her think – something that challenged her to her core. She continued to dig, to study her Bible, to seek wise counsel. Then she stepped out in faith.

I was challenged.

Could I do what Bentley did? Really, do I study my Bible like Bentley did? Am I committed to looking at my beliefs through the lens of scripture?

Blessing Bentley has quickly moved to the “favorite of Chautona’s books” shelf. This is an important book we all need to read. It will challenge you and make you think. It will also make you smile, laugh, cry, and le sigh. What is a le sigh? Pick up Blessing Bentley and find out!

I give this book 5 stars.

I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. No compensation was given and all opinions are my own.

About the Book

Blessing Bentley Cover-smBentley Girard’s about to propose… to a guy she doesn’t even love.

Not THAT way anyway.

After studying everything the Bible has to say about marriage, she’s decided she wants in. Now. So who’s going to take her up on that offer?
And just why did no one reminded her that those vows include that little word, “love?”

Oops!

With her Bible in her hip pocket and a shiny new ring on her finger, Bentley navigates this new world of marriage with grace and… oh, who is she kidding? She flounders until she gets a sure footing and hangs on tight.

Lose yourself in the most unlikely romance you’ll read this year… today!

Giveaway

Blessing Bentley challenged me to look at my beliefs to see if they are really based in scripture. Why is it important to be sure we are using scripture as a lens when viewing our beliefs?

  1. Haha…this one sounds fun!!!

It’s important that we are sound in our scripture because it keeps us from straying in a direction or in our thinking that can do is much harm. It keeps is on the straight and narrow road God created for us. That way we can’t be fooled in believing something that isn’t true.

Thanks for the book review, I like books that make me delve deeper in my thinking and God’s word. Add humor to it, and I’m hooked! Chautona is a new-to-me author and I love discovering new writers.

    1. Thank you for your comment Trixi! If you are looking for books that draw you closer to the Lord in a non-preachy, way through fiction, Chautona is your girl. Her books are fun and I always walk away being able to apply something.

Good luck on being the winner <3

  2. This one is definitely on my “favorite from Chautona” list! Next time I’m in America, I’m planning to get a print copy.

  3. I haven’t read it yet. But going through your post, it is something I want to read.

  4. This sounds like an eye-opener!
I love when fiction books challenge me in my walk with God. So many times God has spoken to me through a fiction book that addresses right where I am!
    Thank you!

    1. Me too friend! I love when I can walk away and apply what I read. Chautona does it in a way that is non-preachy which I just love. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

  5. If we don’t view life through the lens of Scripture, then we’re relying on our own understanding and knowledge (which the Bible tells us not to do — a lot!). I love unconventional marriage books — this sound like something I’d enjoy!

    1. You would love this book Karin. It is different and Chautona is such a great writer!

Thank you for stopping by! Hugs!
