What I think you should know:

Detecting Concealed Evidence by Dana Mentink is the fifth book in the Security Hounds Investigation Series. It is a contemporary Romantic Suspense set in Northern California. This book features K-9 Handler Chase Wolfe and his bloodhound Tank. While this book can be read as a standalone I highly recommend the previous books in the series, as this book does give spoilers and updates on characters from previous books.

What you might need to know:

Pilar’s father is having memory issues, he is being tested to find the cause.

What I think about this book:

Once again Mentink has brought the reader into the world of the Security Hounds Detective Agency. In the book Chase is wanting to purchase a portion or Pilar’s family land, however her father is opposed to the sale. When Pilar is attacked her father immediately thinks that the Wolfe family is just trying to get his land. It was very interesting to see the dynamics between Chase and Pilar. Pilar had to take care of herself and her father so much that she is resistant to accepting help. This made for a very interesting story. Tank and the dogs of security hounds were a wonderful part of the story as always. I can’t wait to read what Mentink has in store for her readers next.
